Mei Nagase

Visiting Scholar, JFIT, GPS, UC San Diego, 2024-25

Mei Nagase is a consultant and researcher at the Mitsubishi Research Institute, where her research is focused on resource efficiency.

She has written several articles on plastic recycling, and she has recently become focused on designing policies and analyzing business models related to circular economies, and how Japanese companies can embrace them.

In September 2024, Nagase joined the Japan Forum for Innovation and Technology (JFIT) and the School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) as a visiting scholar. She earned her Bachelor of Engineering from Waseda University and her Master of Engineering from the University of Tokyo.
